Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho has confirmed to Football London that Giovani Lo Celso is back fit again, ahead of his side’s game against Lokomotiv Plovdiv this evening.

Lo Celso has struggled for fitness so far this term, with the Tottenham attacking midfielder still suffering from a lingering problem from the back end of last term.

But it seems that the playmaker it now available again, after joining in with training.

Tottenham now have almost all their key players fit and available, although Serge Aurier and Japhet Tanganga both could be sidelined.

“Gio is back,” Mourinho said. “Nothing from the game just Serge Aurier a little knock in training. Apart from Tanganaga, who we know will take a few weeks to be back.”

Whether Lo Celso will start for Tottenham this evening or be saved for the weekend now remains to be seen.

Spurs are the heavy favourites to progress against their Bulgarian opponents, and Mourinho may not want to risk Lo Celso from the start before he is totally match sharp.

Spurs have a hugely busy fixture schedule coming up in future weeks, with Southampton their next domestic game on Sunday.

While Spurs would like to win tonight, their trip to St. Mary’s is surely the more pressurised game, especially after they lost on opening day to Everton.
