Chris Sutton has claimed that he hasn’t heard anyone doubting Liverpool forward Mo Salah being one of the best players in the world, as he told BBC Radio 5 Live Sport.
There is a lot of talk about how the Liverpool speedster is ‘underrated’ but also one of the best players in the world.
Salah produced one of the moments of the season, and of his career, at the weekend when he scored a stunning solo goal against Manchester City.
Added with that, he recently joined the Premier League’s 100 goal club, and during Liverpool’s struggles last season, he didn’t drop off despite the problems around him.
Sutton, who won the Premier League title with Blackburn, suggest that Salah has always been admired for his work during these past few years, as he labelled him as ‘incredible’.
“That’s the whole point,” said Sutton. “Everybody says that but back it up.
“I haven’t spoken to a person in the last year or two, who has now doubted Mo Salah and they don’t rate him up there with the very best.
“We don’t have to get into this ‘is he better than Messi or Ronaldo?’. At this moment in time, he is better than Messi and Ronaldo.
“But the quality he has shown over the years for Liverpool, and the consistency, he is right up there. His numbers are incredible.”

Only probably Karim Benzema or Robert Lewandowski, who are playing for top clubs and in the Champions League, can argue whether they are in better form than Salah.
The Egyptian flyer has scored in every game this season, apart from his side’s home clash against Crystal Palace.
That is a remarkable effort from Salah, who is at the peak of his powers and ready to explode and possibly produce the greatest season of his career so far.
Of course, he will be hoping that it is topped off with a Premier League title or Champions League trophy because, with Salah in this form, Jurgen Klopp’s men have every chance to lift those trophies this term.
