England’s World Cup round of 16 clash with Mexico could be delayed due to thunderstorms in Mexico City.
FIFA had considered bringing the game forward from 6 pm local time to 12 pm to avoid the thunderstorms.
However, FIFA decided to keep the kick-off time the same and hopes that the bad weather clears in time.
Unfortunately, the thunderstorms have arrived in Mexico City just hours before the match is supposed to take place.
The Estadio Azteca has now issued a warning to supporters in and around the stadium to take shelter.

Why England vs Mexico kick-off is facing a delay at Azteca Stadium
The temperature in Mexico City is currently 23 degrees Celsius, which will be a huge relief to the England players.
There had been concerns that the heat would make an already difficult game against Mexico even more challenging.
The high altitude at the Estadio Azteca remains the biggest test for England when the game kicks off later today.
Three Lions players, staff and supporters will have their fingers crossed for the thunderstorms to pass as soon as possible.
The stadium is currently issuing the following warning: “Severe Weather is approaching the stadium.”
This message is intended to encourage fans to take shelter as they wait for further information about kick-off.
It remains to be seen whether the game will start on schedule or be delayed by an hour or two.
Whatever happens, Thomas Tuchel’s side have no excuses not to defeat Mexico and reach the quarter-finals.
Despite the tricky conditions, they have significantly more quality in every position, and the nation expects them to deliver a strong performance.
