Chelsea defender Cesar Azpilicueta has raved about his teammate Thiago Silva for his performance against Nuno’s Tottenham Hotspur, as quoted on BBC Sport.
Azpilicueta has praised Silva for his performance for Chelsea in the London derby against Tottenham at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The Brazilian central defender scored the first goal with a header in the 49th minute of the Premier League game.
Chelsea beat Tottenham 3-0.
BBC Sport quotes Azpilicueta as saying about Silva: “Everybody saw today how strong he is. It was an amazing game. All around he is fantastic to have with us.”
Thiago Silva taught Tottenham a lesson
Silva is one of the best centre-backs in the world, and on Sunday evening, the former Paris Saint-Germain star taught Tottenham a lesson.
The 36-year-old scored a superb header and was defensively strong.
The Brazilian was brilliant in the first 45 minutes and kept Harry Kane and Son Heung-min at bay.

What was remarkable about Thiago was that even at the age of 36, he was calm and composed under pressure.
Silva taught Tottenham how to defend, and the way he scored with his header will have Spurs head coach Nuno working hard to get his players to defend set-pieces better.
For Chelsea to win the Premier League title this season, Thiago will be a big player.
As for Spurs, the North London club will have to start working on how not to concede and how to score.
