The Magpies beat Queens Park Rangers 6-0 on Tuesday evening.
Newcastle United striker Ayoze Perez has warned the Championship that they are still improving as a side while speaking to the Chronicle.
The Magpies started this season poorly as they lost their first two games to Fulham and Huddersfield Town respectively.
They have bounced back from that though and have now won their last five games consecutively.
Their latest win was their most impressive to date as they beat Queens Park Rangers 6-0 at Loftus Road.
It was an impressive display that saw Rafa Benitez’s side at their best but Perez has warned they are still improving.
“Every game we are still improving, every day in training we are still improving,” he told the Chronicle.
“We know we have to get better at certain things and to fix things. Week by week we are getting better and if it’s winning games as we do it then it’s much better.”
Newcastle are currently second in the table with 15 points from their first seven games.
It has been a strong start to life in the Championship for them as they sit just one point away from first place, with Huddersfield currently leading the table on 16 points.
Benitez’s team have been in fine form in recent weeks though and they will be hoping to make first spot theirs sooner rather than later.
They return to action when they take on Wolverhampton Wanderers at St James’ Park on Saturday afternoon.
