Leicester City attacker Ayoze Perez has said on Twitter that he still loves Newcastle United.
Perez, who can operate as a forward or as an attacking midfielder, was on the books of Newcastle from the summer of 2014 until the summer of 2019.
As reported by BBC Sport, the Foxes paid the Magpies £30 million in transfer fees for the 27-year-old Spaniard.
Perez scored 48 goals in 195 appearances for Newcastle.
As you can see from his posts on Twitter, Perez still loves the Magpies and has fond memories of playing in front of the St. James’ Park faithful.
Perez did well during his time at Newcastle.
The Spaniard was often played out wide and not as a centre-forward, and he contributed to the team with his hard work, chances created and link-up play.

Perez’s versatility has helped him at Leicester, and, like at Newcastle, he has not always been played upfront.
The 27-year-old made 15 starts and 10 substitute appearances in the Premier League for Leicester last season.
The attacker scored two goals and gave one assist in those games.

Perez also made four substitute appearances in the Europa League for Leicester last season.
The Spaniard scored eight goals and gave four assists in 33 Premier League matches for the Foxes in 2019-20.
