Manchester City star Aymeric Laporte has given his immediate reaction to the collapse of the European Super League, and it couldn’t be any more perfect.
The Frenchman has been vocal about his opposition to the competition on social media, and it seems as though nobody is happier than Laporte in the wake of the news that the Super League has collapsed.
Luckily, Manchester City, and every other English club, has withdrawn from the competition, and Laporte made an absolute mockery of the whole situation in just four words.
Laporte has given the Super League exactly the amount of respect it deserves.
This was a multi-billion pound idea that collapsed within 48 hours of formation, and Laporte has treated it with such a minimal degree of respect, and we absolutely understand why.
The Super League would have completely undermined the sport, and the fact that we still have people like Laporte in the game is great to see.
