Luke Ayling has posted on Instagram that he is ‘missing it a lot’ as he continues to be out of action with a knee injury.
The 30-year-old hasn’t featured for Leeds since their 1-1 draw against Newcastle United in September.
Kalvin Phillips responded to Ayling’s post by writing ‘Back soon my boy’, whilst Liam Cooper added ‘Won’t be long brother’.
In recent weeks, Ayling hasn’t been the only one who has been on the sidelines for Marcelo Bielsa’s side.
Diego Llorente hasn’t featured since the opening day, Raphinha has also been absent at times, Phillips himself only returned at the weekend, but only to the bench.
Then there is Patrick Bamford, who is also starting to become another long-term absentee for Leeds.
All in all, it is really frustrating for the Whites supporters because they aren’t a side that are blessed with depth in quality.
Not because they aren’t good enough, but because Bielsa likes to play with a smaller squad, which is currently hurting them.
The quicker Leeds can get their senior men back, the better, because, at this moment in time, they are still sitting outside of the relegation zone.
