Some Manchester United fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to Axel Tuanzebe moving to Aston Villa.
What’s the story?
United have announced on their official website that Tuanzebe has joined Premier League rivals Villa on a season-long loan deal.
The 23-year-old central defender has moved to the Villans after signing a new contract at United until June 2023 with the option of an additional year’s extension.
The youngster has previously had two loan spells at Villa Park.
What are Manchester United fans saying?
As you can see from the tweets below, United fans seem to rate Tuanzebe highly and are wishing him the best of luck at Villa.
Well, some of them anyway.
Tuanzebe is a good central defender, but he is essentially a squad player at United.
With Raphael Varane joining from Real Madrid in the summer transfer window, the 23-year-old would have fallen further down the pecking order.
The youngster made four starts and five substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Red Devils last season.
Tuanzebe made one start and two substitute appearance in the Europa League, and made two starts and three substitute appearances in the Champions League in 2020-21.
Villa fans will know what Tuanzebe is capable of, and the United supporters rating him so highly is a very positive sign for the Villans.
