Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to express their love for something Jose Mourinho did for Sergio Reguilon over Christmas.
In an interview with AS, the Spain international revealed that Mourinho gave him a box on Christmas Day with a suckling pig in it as a gift.
Reguilon said: “On Christmas day, José knows that I am alone. We got to training and I had a box. I open it and it was a suckling pig already cooked. He told me I know you are alone at Christmas so you don’t have to cook and eat well.”
This is a truly thoughtful gesture from the former Real Madrid boss.
It defies the moody, grouchy perception of him which has – wrongly – been created.
It also goes to show that Mourinho genuinely cares about the wellbeing of his players, on and off the pitch.

Presumably, this was Reguilon’s first Christmas alone. The Tottenham No.3 had spent his entire career in his native Spain before moving to north London in the summer.
In that instance, who knows how he was feeling about being alone on Christmas Day?
It might’ve been something that was playing on his mind, and could’ve potentially affected his displays.
However, Mourinho has showcased his man-management skills, in what is a truly lovely moment between player and manager.

It certainly seems to have made some of the Tottenham fans on Twitter a bit emotional.
Let’s just hope it helps to keep the impressive £25 million man if Real Madrid activate their buy-back clause!
Let’s see what they’ve been saying about Reguilon’s revelation…
