Should current Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani be as ruthless?

Andrea Radrizzani, Owner of Leeds United (3L) looks on during the Sky Bet Championship match between Bristol City and Leeds United at Ashton Gate on October 21, 2017 in Bristol, England.

Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani’s first season at Leeds has not gone to plan.

He sacked manager Thomas Christiansen at the end of January and told the Yorkshire Evening Post he regretted not being more decisive.

Now his replacement Paul Heckingbottom is limping towards the end of the season and the performances suggest he may need putting out his misery.

It may be an extreme case, but former Leeds owner Massimo Cellino is most extreme hire and fire club chief in the business, and he has not stopped.

Massimo Cellino President and Director of Leeds United during the Sky Bet Championship match between Leeds United and Fulham at Elland Road on December 13, 2014 in Leeds, England.

At Brescia he is on his fourth manager of the season already, with Tuttomercatoweb reporting Ivo Pulga has been hired for the final four games of the campaign.

Brescia sit in 13th in Serie B amid a disappointing return to Italy for Cellino.

Roberto Boscaglia had two stints as manager this season, being sacked and then re-hired.

Cellino has enjoyed little success at Leeds or Brescia and his methods are not exactly a tried and tested way for Andrea Radrizzani to want to follow.

But he is impatient and quick to cut his losses when it is not working, and perhaps Radrizzani needs to take a similar route at Leeds at the moment.
