Do Glasgow Rangers need to pay attention to Nathan Oduwa’s expiring Tottenham contract?
This time last year promising winger Nathan Oduwa was battling to help Glasgow Rangers win promotion to the top flight of Scottish football.
Now he is soon to be available on a free transfer from Tottenham, should manager Mark Warburton consider bringing him to Ibrox on a permanent basis?
Oduwa’s contract at Tottenham expires at the end of the season, and Italian website Tuttomercatoweb report that teams in Serie A and Serie B have registered an interest in the youngster.

His spell at Rangers was mixed, with Oduwa’s eye catching displays riling up opposition defences, who accused him of showboating.
He made 19 appearances for the Gers in all competitions, scoring just once, before his loan spell was cut short.
After Rangers signed Michael O’Halloran in the transfer window, Mark Warburton could not promise Oduwa first team opportunities, and allowed him to return, on good terms, to Tottenham.

So what has changed since for Oduwa? Unfortunately not much. He subsequently signed on loan for Colchester, making just two appearances, and this season has been on loan at Peterborough, where he has played seven games.
After failing to hold down a first team spot at Rangers last season, there is an argument that the Light Blues do not need the youngster, especially with the team attempting to step up another level.
Yet Oduwa is just 20, and has stacks of potential, and the chance to sign him up for free should not be casually overlooked, considering his willingness to adapt last season.
Rangers could sign him up and stick him in the development squad if need be, in the hope he can fulfill his potential at the club, even to sell on for a profit at a later date.
