Nottingham Forest boss Mark Warburton has previously been linked with a move for the Glasgow Rangers defender who is now available to leave Ibrox for £1.25 million.
Rangers’ James Tavernier is reportedly free to leave Ibrox this summer
The Daily Mail reported back in March that Nottingham Forest boss Mark Warburton wanted to bring Rangers full-back James Tavernier with him to the City Ground this summer.
Warburton was in charge of the Gers when the defender arrived from Wigan back in 2015, and it was arguably during his tenure that the 25-year-old enjoyed the best spell of his career to date.

Therefore, a recent report from the Daily Record should arguably be extremely interesting to Warburton with new Gers boss Pedro Caixinha ready to sanction a number of player sales this summer, with Tavernier one of the names who is free to leave if an asking price is met.
The Record reports that Tavernier will be available for £1.25 million. And for that price, Warburton should arguably do everything he can to make sure the Forest hierarchy win the race for his signature.
For £1.25 million, Forest should surely make sure they win the race for Tavernier
Tavernier has been impressive for much of his time at Ibrox, not only helping out defensively but also proving to be a threat going forward, scoring a staggering 15 goals in all competitions during his debut year with the Light Blues.
Forest arguably need to make a number of signings this summer if they hope to ensure that they are nowhere near the relegation zone again next season, and bringing Tavernier in for a low seven-figure fee would arguably be an astute piece of business from the club, especially if Warburton can get the best out of the right-back once again.
