Should Everton go back in for M’Baye Niang?

AC Milan forward M’Baye Niang is trying to secure a move away from the club before the transfer window closes.

The Mirror reported back in June that Everton were strongly interested in signing the forward.

Everton have since backed off the striker, but as they search for a new forward, perhaps they should re-visit the chance to sign the former France under-21 international.

Niang has no future at Milan after their summer spending spree and Football Italia report that fans unfurled a banner at the weekend urging him to leave.

Milan accepted an offer of 18 million Euros (£16.75 million) for Niang from Spartak Moscow, but he has rejected the move to Russia.

Serie A side Torino were set to meet with Milan to discuss a potential move today, but are yet to meet their asking price.

The 22-year-old striker is a player with real potential, who impressed fleetingly during his loan spell in the Premier League with Watford last season.

With talented players like Gylfi Sigurdsson, Wayne Rooney and Davy Klaassen in support, Niang could finally unlock his potential.

For a fee not unreasonable in today’s transfer market, Everton should consider making a late approach.
