Celtic’s Scott Brown is reportedly wanted by Western Melbourne.

The summer transfer window has been closed a number of months now, but the rumour mill continues to churn out some questionable stories.
According to The Daily Mail, Australian side Western Melbourne are interested in signing Celtic captain Scott Brown, if they are successful in becoming an A-League side.
The Australian top flight is expanding from 10 teams to 12 and Western Melbourne are among those hoping to win a place for next season.
If successful, the Celtic midfielder, whose contract expires next summer, will be a high-profile target for October 2019.
And here is how some Aussie-based fans reacted to the idea of seeing the Hoops skipper on their shores:
It seems unlikely to materialise, it must be said. Brown might be 33, but he still has plenty to offer Celtic, as he has proven in recent seasons.
The former Scotland star has led the Bhoys to back-to-back domestic trebles under Brendan Rodgers and Celtic are now only three Premiership titles away from completing an unprecedented 10-in-a-row feat.
That would sting those on the blue half of the Old Firm divide – Rangers – which means that Brown might well be interested in sticking around to follow it through.
