Aston Villa midfielder Mile Jedinak struggled in Australia’s latest match.

Some Australian fans believe that Aston Villa’s Mile Jedinak is finished as a defensive midfielder for them.
Jedinak was selected to start as a shielder in Australia’s midfield, for their fixture against Iraq yesterday.
However, the Socceroos were unable to get the victory that they wanted, and could only claim a disappointing 1-1 draw.
Jedinak’s performance in the fixture did little to impress, with many Australians thinking he should only play as a centre-back from now on.
Jedinak has been switched to a more defensive role by Steve Bruce at Villa, and he has impressed in recent weeks.
The former Crystal Palace man has helped Villa win their last two matches, against Sheffield Wednesday and Wigan Atheltic.
Bruce is now thought to believe that Jedinak should be deployed as a centre-back on a permanent basis, rather than in his more familiar midfield slot.
Villa are next in action after the international break, when they take on Norwich City.
