Celtic’s Tom Rogic played for Australia on Saturday.

With the latest international break upon us, much of the focus is on the UEFA Nations League, but there are games going on all over the world.
On Saturday morning, Australia hosted South Korea in a friendly game at the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, with Australia fans looking for progress under Graham Arnold.
Unfortunately, Australia fell behind in the first half, as striker Hwang Ui-jo ran on to a long ball and fired low past Brighton and Hove Albion goalkeeper Mathew Ryan.
Australia toiled away in the second half looking for an equaliser, and it finally came in the 94th minute as Tom Rogic’s shot was spilled, and Massimo Luongo arrived to tap home from close range.
It was a disappointing display for Australia, and whilst a host of players – including Robbie Kruse – fell short of expectations, midfielder Rogic came in for criticism despite his part in the goal.

The Celtic man had a golden opportunity to score in the second half but almost fell over his own feet, and Australia fans weren’t impressed with his all-round showing.
Some suggested that Rogic was ‘cumbersome’ and is yet to show anything positive for Australia, adding that he is a case of wasted potential as he is an overhyped luxury player at this stage – and whilst Celtic fans may love him, it seems that those in his homeland maybe aren’t so keen.
