Tottenham’s hopes of signing Tanguy Ndombele has been dented.

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has told RMC Sport that he has no intention of allowing Tottenham Hotspur target Tanguy Ndombele to leave the club this summer.
Lyon have been facing a major battle to keep Liverpool target Nabil Fekir at the club this summer, but he is far from the only player under Bruno Genesio attracting interest.
Memphis Depay and Marcelo have both been linked with moves, whilst midfielder Tanguy Ndombele has become a top target for Tottenham Hotspur, according to reports this summer.
Sky Sports reported last month that Tottenham have eyed up Ndombele as a potential successor to Mousa Dembele in midfield, after the Frenchman impressed last term.
Ndombele, 21, was on the books with Guingamp before impressing with Amiens, and he spent last season on loan with Lyon, notching one goal and seven assists for the club as they activated their permanent option on him.
However, clubs are now attempting to convince Lyon to sell for a major profit already this summer, and Tottenham seemingly believe that the youngster has the necessary strength and drive through midfield that has made Dembele so vital under Pochettino.

Unfortunately for Tottenham, Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas is a tough negotiator, much like Tottenham’s Daniel Levy, and the pair even clashed over the 2012 deal for Hugo Lloris, as reported by The Telegraph.
Now, Aulas has told RMC Sport that there is no chance of Ndombele leaving this summer even if he wants to go, as Lyon can’t afford to lose their best players.
“We have not had an offer for him,” said Aulas. “Even if he is interested in clubs, he will be with us next year, like the midfielder of last year. We will not let our best players go,” he added.
