Arsenal’s torrid form continued on Sunday evening as they were beaten 2-0 away at rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

The Gunners were looking to use this local derby as inspiration to get back on track, especially with midfielder Thomas Partey back in action.

However, Tottenham executed two counter attacks to win the game, with Son Heung-min firing home a superb opener from long-range having been played in by Harry Kane.

Son returned the favour, picking out Kane on another break before half time to give Spurs a 2-0 lead that they just never looked like losing.

It turned out to be another miserable weekend for Arsenal, who have now scored just twice in their last seven games – and Augsburg bizarrely became a top of conversation.

One Manchester United fan took to Twitter to criticise Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka, suggesting that Augsburg is his level rather than Arsenal.

Despite Xhaka previously being a Bundesliga star for Borussia Monchengladbach, the official Augsburg account responded with just two words – ‘respect us’.

Augsburg seemingly think they deserve more recognition and respect than that, though it it seems they even they aren’t too interested in having the Swiss international!
