Would Real Madrid’s Isco be a good signing for Everton in the summer transfer window?

Everton are doing quite well at the moment and should end up seventh in the Premier League this season. Perhaps the Toffees could even break into the top six.

Ronald Koeman has done a wonderful job since he was appointed the Everton manager in the summer of 2016. The Dutchman is very ambitious and so are the club, and one suspects that they will make some very good signings for the 2017-18 campaign.

One player that Everton should look to sign in the summer transfer window is Isco. The 24-year-old attacking midfielder is on the books of Real Madrid at the moment, but he was quoted as saying by Sky Sports in February that he is unsure about his future.

The Spain international has won the Champions League twice with Madrid and could clinch La Liga with Los Blancos this season. Leaving Madrid for any team, except maybe Manchester United and Barcelona, is a step-down for any footballer, and many will question why he would even choose a club like Everton who may not even feature in the Europa League next season, let alone in the Champions League.

Isco may not move to Everton, but it would not be a bad idea for the Merseyside outfit to make a move and place a big-money bid. It would show a massive intent from the Toffees to establish themselves among Europe’s elite and could convince star striker Romelu Lukaku to stay at Goodison Park for one more season.

What if Isco decides to move to Everton? Well, the Toffees would be signing a potential world-class attacking midfielder with two Champions League winners’ medals.
