Leeds United fans don’t seem to have forgotten about Louie Sibley’s actions during their guard of honour last season, amid rumours they want to sign him.
The Yorkshire Evening Post say that Leeds are keen on the Derby youngster as they look to bring in an attacking midfielder before the domestic transfer deadline.
But many Leeds supporters aren’t exactly convinced that the addition of Sibley would be a good one.
Sibley looked very reticent to clap the Whites when they walked out at Pride Park last season, after they were crowned champions.
And Leeds fans have not forgiven him for his actions, which they considered disrespectful.
Whether Sibley would be able to change opinions of Leeds fans if he did sign remains to be seen.
The Derby youngster is unquestionably a talent and he would surely add to the goalscoring threat Leeds have from midfield if he was to arrive.
Sibley would be in competition with the likes of Mateusz Klich, Pablo Hernandez and Tyler Roberts for a place at Elland Road.
