Swansea City have been linked with Nicolas Gaitan of Atletico Madrid in the January transfer window.

It has been reported that the 29-year-old attacking midfielder is on the radar of Premier League club Swansea.

The Welsh outfit want to sign the Argentina international on loan from Atletico, according to the report, but the Spanish club are claimed to want to sell him for £20m.
Gaitan, who can also operate as a winger, is not the player he was a few years ago, and it would be a huge risk for Swansea to sign him for £20m in the middle of the season.

The Argentina international has played only 217 minutes of La Liga football so far this season, while during the 2016-17 campaign, he was able to make just 11 starts in the league, according to WhoScored.
While Swansea could do with a creative midfielder in the team for the second half of the season, it would be a risk for the Swans to cough up £20m for a player who has not played much this season.
