Atlanta United have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Diego Rossi on loan, with Fenerbahce rejecting an opening bid worth $2.5m for the forward.
According to Turkish outlet Turkiye Gazetesi, the Five Stripes have been turned down by the Istanbul giants in their first attempt to sign Rossi, with Atlanta keen to bring the winger back to MLS.
However, Fenerbahce have since offered the Georgia-based side to chance to sign Rossi on loan, an option that could appeal greatly to Atlanta this summer.

Rossi’s record in MLS with Los Angeles FC speaks for itself, with the attacker hitting an impressive 59 goals and 22 assists across three-and-a-half years with the reigning MLS Cup champions.
And for Atlanta, signing Rossi on loan with a potential option to buy in January could be a dream transfer for the Five Stripes, with Gonzalo Pineda getting a good idea of how the Uruguayan international could fit into his system.
Indeed, a loan deal could be the safer option for Atlanta rather than breaking the bank to sign Rossi, with the forward in need of some time to return to his best having seeing his career somewhat stall in Turkey.
Atlanta signing Rossi on loan could be a dream transfer

Rossi’s return to MLS is looking more likely by the day, and whilst Atlanta might want a permanent transfer for the winger, a loan deal could be a dream outcome for the Five Stripes.
As we know, signing Rossi on loan gives Atlanta less pressure to deliver on the forward’s performances, with there still being a small chance that the Uruguayan fails to make much of an impact in Georgia.
Moreover, should Rossi impress like many expect the attacker to do, Atlanta could be given the chance to sign the Fenerbahce star for cheap, with a fee close to the original $2.5m offer more than likely.
