Atlanta United have reportedly agreed a deal to sign EA Guingamp midfielder Tristan Muyumba, with the transfer expected to be confirmed this week.
According to the Athletic, the Five Stripes are finalizing the last details with Atlanta set to receive an international slot from the Colorado Rapids as part of a separate deal for left-back Andrew Gutman, who is set to move to the Rocky Mountain side for allocation money.
Muyumba joins Atlanta after an impressive year in Ligue 2 with Guingamp, with the midfielder a regular for the French side last campaign having played for the likes of AS Monaco and Toulouse. The 26-year-old has also spent time in Belgium.

Midfield has been a key position for Atlanta to add new additions this summer, with the MLS transfer window officially set to open today as Gonzalo Pineda currently looks to make signings to confirm the Georgia side’s playoff status for the upcoming post-season.
And Muyumba could be a welcome arrival for Atlanta, with the midfielder succeeding in France over the last few seasons in a career that could now see the Paris-born player thrive in the Eastern Conference with the MLS giants.
Atlanta fans will take to Muyumba quickly

Versatile, experienced and durable, there’s a lot to like from Muyumba’s game as the midfielder prepares to make the move to Atlanta this summer. And for fans of the Five Stripes, they will be quick to take the Frenchman under his wing upon his arrival.
Indeed, Muyumba adds need-quality and steel to the Atlanta midfield. And with a transfer now set to be announced, supporters will soon get to see what their new star man is made of heading into this summer’s MLS fixtures.
