Speaking on the Premier League’s YouTube channel, Joe Hart has been waxing-lyrical about Tottenham Hotspur teammate Harry Kane.
Hart was speaking about some of the best players at Spurs, and inevitably, Kane cropped up in the conversation.
The goalkeeper has seen Kane progress over the years, playing with him for England and Spurs, and he believes he’s at the peak of his powers right now.
What’s he said?
Hart has had nothing but good things to say about Kane.
“I feel like H, Harry Kane, his levels have just improved, I’ve known him for a long time now ever since he was someone who was becoming an important player, and I feel like he’s really at the peak of his powers now. He’s someone at the top end. I’ve been around some really good players and he’s right up there,” Hart said.
Hart was then playing a game where he had to name the English player with the best shooting, and as you can imagine, Kane was Hart’s choice.
“It’s easy this one, Harry Kane. He’s a shark, he doesn’t miss any angle, any style, any kind of goal. He can score,” Hart said.
What a player
We’ve heard players described as a fox in the box, but Hart thinks Kane is a shark.
To be fair, we can imagine that playing as a defender and trying to mark Kane is like being in the ocean and seeing a shark’s fin, it must be so frightening playing against a striker that is so clinical.
Regardless of recent reports about Kane’s future, when you look at what he has achieved so far in his career you have to hold your hands up and say he’s simply an unbelievable footballer.
Hart has seen some quality players in his time, but Kane is undoubtedly one of the best.
