Everton have reportedly pulled out of the race to sign PSV star Denzel Dumfries.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FC Inter 1908, the Toffees have pulled out of the competition to sign the Euro 2020 star, with Inter Milan now the favourites to sign the right-back.
Dumfries became one of the stars of Euro 2020 after starring for the Netherlands in the group stages of the competition. His impressive form for Hollan led to multiple teams being keen on the 25-year-old.
However, it now appears that Inter will beat Everton in the race for Dumfries.
Indeed, as per Gazzetta dello Sport, Dumfries is top of the Italian side’s list for a new right-back this summer. Hector Bellerin is also on the radar for the Serie A champions
Moreover, Everton seemingly don’t have the finances required to make a big-money signing like Dumfries this window.

The Toffees have made just two signings this window in Andros Townsend and Demarai Gray, with the duo costing a combined fee of £1.5m according to the Daily Mail.
And on social media, fans were fuming over the developments regarding Dumfries, who at one point looked like the club’s main target this summer.
Here’s what some Everton supporters had to say about the club pulling out of negotiations for Dumfries on Twitter…
