Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a number of Championship attackers of late, with Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish, Blackburn’s Bradley Dack, Brentford’s Ollie Watkins reportedly considered by Spurs.

Now, a teenage Nottingham Forest winger should be added to that list.

Just last week, Spurs were linked with a £10million move for Hull City’s Jarrod Bowen by the Hull Daily Mail, with claims that Spurs scouts had watched him score twice against QPR.

But at just £6million, Spurs can lure Nottingham Forest 17-year-old Arvin Appiah to north London, after The Sun claimed Forest are willing to let the speedy winger leave if they receive the seven-figure sum.

Mauricio Pochettino is known for his faith in youth, bringing in the likes of Dele Alli, Harry Winks, Kyle Walker-Peters and most recently Oliver Skipp – the latter making his first Premier League start on Saturday.

With Spurs seemingly looking to the Championship for an attacking addition, twinned with Pochettino’s faith in youth – Appiah seems like an obvious buy for Spurs, especially at a bargain £6million.

The youngster made his senior debut for Forest earlier this season, scoring one of Forest’s two goals as they lost 3-2 to local rivals Burton Albion.

Despite the loss, Forest fans were impressed with Appiah’s six-minute cameo role. But Aitor Karanka is said to be willing to let him leave without giving him a run in the first team, and Spurs have to take advantage.

A bargain fee, plenty of speed and an eye for goal at senior level already, Appiah could be an excellent addition in years to come if Spurs do lure him to north London.
