Wolves are said to be open to selling striker Raul Jimenez for a bargain £15million, and Tottenham Hotspur should sign the powerful ace. TalkSPORT say Jimenez needs a change of scenery since joining in 2018.
Jimenez, 31, is struggling to rediscover his best form at Wolves since his head injury – scoring six goals in 34 games for the Molineux outfit. The 93-time Mexico international has a contract until June 2024.
But TalkSPORT claim Wolves are willing to cash in on Jimenez and for a bargain figure of just £15million. The report claims there is a feeling at Molineux, that Jimenez needs a move after spending four years at Wolves.
Meanwhile, Football London say Antonio Conte wants to sign a striker. One that is likely to be okay with playing second fiddle to Harry Kane. In the past, Spurs have had the likes of Fernando Llorente and Carlos Vinicius.
Tottenham should sign Wolves ace Jimenez: £15m is a bargain
Back in 2020, Foot Mercato said Jose Mourinho was looking to lure Jimenez to Tottenham. Back then, the Mexican would have been an expensive signing; Jimenez might not have considered being back-up.
Now, given Jimenez’s form and a lack of form of late, he might be more open to joining Spurs – especially if he was playing in Europe with Spurs. He would get plenty of game time, even as cover for the England skipper.
Now he is available for just £15million, Jimenez has got to be a consideration for Spurs. Conte wants a striker and bringing in a slightly more experienced forward might just give Spurs the plan B they need.
