Newcastle need additions in January if they are to survive relegation.

Newcaste United’s Premier League status hangs in the balance. A 2-1 loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers has left Rafa Benitez’s men in 15th place, but more importantly only three points above the bottom three.
The January transfer window provides The Toon with a big chance to change that, just as they did last season by bringing in Martin Dubravka and Kenedy on loan.
Benitez needs two or three new players that have the quality and determination to help bring The Toon out of the relegation mire and to Premier League safety. Chelsea’s Victor Moses is the perfect example.
The Sun claim Crystal Palace and Fulham are interested in the 27-year-old, with Maurizio Sarri willing to offload the attacker for just £12million as he struggles to get into the senior side at Stamford Bridge.
The 38-time Nigeria international has managed just six appearances in all competitions, including a substitute appearance in the Community Shield. With January approaching, he is allowed to leave for pastures new.
A Premier League winner with Chelsea, Moses boasts plenty of pace and attacking quality that could help Newcastle add to the 13 goals they have scored in their 16 Premier League matches this season.

But perhaps what makes Moses the perfect addition at St. James’ Park – other than working under Benitez during the latter’s Chelsea spell as interim manager – is the versatile star’s hard-working style of play.
Matt Ritchie has struggled this season, failing to recapture the highs of last season that include scoring the winner in a 1-0 win over Manchester United. Adding Moses to the squad would give Newcastle the perfect type of player to help them avoid the drop.
