The Welsh international arrived from West Brom this summer to strengthen the backline and has certainly performed better than fellow summer signing Tommy Elphick.
He still has room to improve but has proved a good buy so far.

Another summer signing who has quickly won over the Aston Villa fans.
The Ivory Coast international is living up to his price-tag with some excellent performances for the club. If he could add some more goals he would be considered even more pivotal.

The Ghanaian can feel generally aggrieved to be where he is in the league table with Villa.
Playing from his less favoured position of the wing he has put in a string of good performances for Villa.
If he can keep it up, there is always hope Villa can start climbing the table soon.
