The 31-year-old was struggling for regular game time at the London Stadium as a move to Villa Park would see him earn the minutes on the pitch he was craving.
Despite the Midlands side losing the playoff final in May, Snodgrass’ individual performances for Villa would see him work his way back into West Ham’s starting XI for this campaign.
The Scotland international provided 14 assists and scored eight goals for Villa as he is now a rejuvenated player in east London.

The Sun claims that Abraham is an £18 million target for Wolves as a potential deal could see his season-long loan at Villa Park cut short.
The highly-rated striker should stay put at Villa because like Snodgrass last season, continued high-level performances at the Championship club will only enhance his career.
Snodgrass went from being loaned out by a Premier League club as a then 30-year-old to breaking his way into the club’s starting XI a season later because of his performances for Villa.
Abraham has found the back of the net on 16 occasions this term, a tally of goals that will only grow under the pressured environments at Villa Park and a tally of goals that will be recognised at his parent club.
