Aston Villa midfielder Mile Jedinak has played a key role for Steve Bruce’s side this season.

Jedinak joined Villa back in 2016, but it is only recently where he has really shown his top form.
The Australian international is now a key member of Steve Bruce’s starting line-up, but it has not always been smooth sailing.
And Jedinak admits that he found it very difficult to play two matches a week, during his worst times at Villa.

He said: “Of late, particularly with a busy schedule and playing in the Championship you’re playing pretty much every three three or four days.
“It’s your recovery ability, not just being able to play every three or four days but being able to train in between. During the worst time I wasn’t able to do that. To know you’re in the right shape and able to do that is probably the biggest thing I’ve noticed. That’s only going to help me going forward.”
Jedinak now features in almost every game Villa play, and has won his place back in the starting line-up.

The 33-year-old has played 90 minutes in the claret and blues last two Championship matches, and will have a key role to play over the remainder of the season.
Villa are pushing for promotion from the Championship, but a defeat to Queens Park Rangers in their last outing has dented their chances.
Bruce’s men are currently seven points behind the automatic promotion spaces, with time running out for them to catch Cardiff City.
Villa are next in action tomorrow evening, when they take on Bolton Wanderers.
