Aston Villa recorded a valuable win against Middlesbrough in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.

Aston Villa powerhouse Kortney Hause has revealed that he has told Anwar El Ghazi ‘a few times’ about how good he is as he urged his teammate to ‘carry on’ performing the goods for his team for the rest of the season.
El Ghazi helped Villa to a 3-0 win over promotion rivals Middlesbrough on Saturday by opening the scoring after 28 minutes before John McGinn and substitute Albert Adomah added to his strike.
It was the winger’s first goal for Villa since he scored against West Brom at the Hawthorns in December, with manager Dean Smith selecting him on a regular basis out wide since his arrival.
Centre-back Hause, who has helped his team to two clean sheets since moving at the heart of the club’s defence, shared his thoughts on his attack-minded teammate.
“El Ghazi doesn’t need anyone to tell him, he knows how good he is,” Hause told AVTV. “I’ve told him a few times about how good he is and we just need him to carry on doing that for the rest of the season to keep getting at defenders, using his pace, power and he’s also very good technically. He has a very good shot and cross. He needs to continue to be effective in games.”
El Ghazi moved to Villa Park during the summer when he made a loan switch from Ligue 1 side Lille. Under then-manager Steve Bruce and now Smith, he has been used on both flanks, mainly operating on the left-hand side.

Over the course of the season, he has played 24 Championship matches for his team, scoring five times and supplying his teammates with three assists [transfermarkt].
After the international break, he will be looking to add to that tally as Villa push for an unlikely top-six finish after being down and out of the promotion race only a month ago.
But four wins on the bounce has seen them move into the final play-off place as they will take on Blackburn Rovers when club football returns following the international fixtures.
