The Aston Villa hitman would be a useful addition to the Everton squad.
Toffees boss Ronald Koeman will surely be looking to bolster his current options further still, having already spent around £100 million on acquiring new talent this summer.
If the Dutchman realistically expects to guide his side into contention for a place inside the Champions League spots, the addition of another striker will be an absolute necessity, to help supplement the skills of Sandro Ramirez and Wayne Rooney through the middle.
And with this in mind, Everton should consider a move for Aston Villa hitman Jonathan Kodjia.
Villans boss Steve Bruce admitted that he might have to sell one of his key players this summer, when speaking to the Birmingham Mail, and the Blues should not hesitate in testing the Midlands outfit’s resolve by making a firm offer for the former Bristol City man.
The Ivorian hitman is currently out injured, but is not far off returning to action, and his pace along with his powerful frame makes him the ideal partner for Ramirez, should Koeman wish to play with two strikers through the middle.
Kodjia’s attributes also make him the ideal candidate to play as the lone forward for Everton, with Rooney slotted in just behind him, should the Toffees set upon a 4-2-3-1 formation.
The Villa man’s goalscoring record during his time in England is an impressive one. He has hit the back of the net 38 times in 85 outings, and he would surely improve upon that ratio further still, if surrounded by the likes of Rooney and Davy Klaassen.
Whilst moving for a Championship player might seem like an underwhelming one for Everton fans, Kodjia is a player who could reach entirely new heights, if given the opportunity, and it he could be a real coup for the Merseyside outfit, if a move comes to fruition.
