Aston Villa ace James Chester spoke to reporters after being away on international duty with Wales in China, and opened up on the ingenious way in which he dealt with the time difference in preparation for his return to Villa Park, as quoted by the Express & Star.

The Villans have a crucial two months ahead of them, with eight Championship games remaining, and they cannot really afford to drop any more points, if they are to have any chance whatsoever of finishing inside the top two this season.

Chester himself has played a crucial role for Steve Bruce’s side this season, playing every single minute in Villa’s Championship campaign thus far.

The 29-year-old could be forgiven for returning to Villa slightly jaded, after spending a week away with Wales in China, but he told reporters how he made sure he will be fresh when he gets back to the west Midlands, as quoted by the Express & Star:

“It’s been a bit strange staying up till half three, four in the morning, and having your breakfast at one in the afternoon. But it was for that reason, to make sure when we get home it’s not as difficult to get back to normal life. It was a very long time ago when I last stayed up that late, and it certainly won’t be a regular thing. It has been strange. But it will make it a lot easier getting back. Some of us have got massive games coming up.”

Next up for Villa is a trip to Hull City on Saturday, before they play host to Reading three days later, and Steve Bruce will be hoping that his reliable centre-back returns to action in tip-top condition, with a run of victories desperately needed.
