Aston Villa’s Jacob Ramsey has told Levi Colwill ‘congrats broski’ on Instagram after he signed a six-year contract for Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea.
The 20-year-old thrived in the colours of Brighton and Hove Albion last season, whilst out on-loan, and there was talk that he could possibly head back to the Amex Stadium this summer.
Even Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool were being talked about possibly signing the hard-hitting defender, but instead, he has now committed his future to Chelsea.
Levi Colwill posted on Instagram that he is ‘thrilled’ to sign a new deal with his boyhood club and how it has been an ‘honour’ to rep the club’s colours.
A number of his teammates congratulated him in the comments section of his IG post, with Aston Villa’s Jacob Ramsey posting: ‘Congrats, broski’, whilst transfer king, Fabrizio Romano, called him a ‘top player’.
The rising defender was also applauded by Chelsea legend John Terry and Leeds United’s Charlie Cresswell, who signed his own deal recently.

“Delighted to commit my future to my boyhood club Chelsea. Im thrilled to be here and excited to be a part of this project,” said Colwill.
“It’s been an honour to have been at this club since a 9-year old and I’m dedicated to work with my teammates to bring this club continued success.”
