The Aston Villa ace put two poor performances behind him by producing a match-winning display against Cardiff on Tuesday night.
Aston Villa ace Jack Grealish boldly claimed that he is in the best form of his life, when speaking exclusively to the Express & Star, and credited his fine his run to the faith placed in him by his manager Steve Bruce.
The 22-year-old scored a sensational goal for the Villans in midweek during their 1-0 win over Cardiff City, and his virtuoso display drew many plaudits from fans and pundits alike.
Grealish has received criticism during his fledgling career thus far for some questionable off-field antics, but he seems to have grown as both a player and a person this season.
The young Englishman spoke exclusively to the Express & Star about his fine recent run of form, describing it as his best run since bursting onto the scene at Villa Park in 2014:
“The manager has helped me massively. He has put so much trust in me. I’m happy with my form. I think it is some of the best form of my life, probably the best. It’s just little stuff. When I have a game where I am not at my best, I feel like certain other managers I would have dropped me straight away. This manager now has a trust in me that I can produce something. In games like QPR I wasn’t at my best, Bolton too maybe, but he stuck with me.
Villa haven’t yet given up hope of finishing inside the automatic promotion places, but they will have to win their last four games if they are to have any chance whatsoever of doing just that, and Grealish will surely play a key role for his side between now and the end of the season.
