Aston Villa brought John Terry to the club on a free transfer last summer.

Aston Villa ace Jack Grealish spoke to reporters about his blossoming relationship with John Terry, and described how he had to pinch himself when he first heard that the former England international had moved to Villa Park, as quoted by the Daily Mail.
The 37-year-old joined the Villans in the summer of 2017, after his contract with Chelsea had expired, and he has since gone on to establish himself as a vital member of Steve Bruce’s side, appearing in 32 games in all competitions thus far.

Terry has been an absolute rock at the back on the pitch for Villa, but it has been the example that he has set to the club’s youngsters off the pitch that has been the most impressive facet of his time in the west Midlands.
Grealish raved about the former Chelsea and England skipper’s quality when speaking to reporters, highlighting how excited he was when he heard that the veteran was joining Villa in the summer, as quoted by the Daily Mail:

“When I first heard he signed I had to pinch myself. He is so professional in everything he does and that rubs off on us young players. I will be thinking: ‘Do I need to be doing that?’, when he is already doing it. He is always the last person there, eating properly and doing everything right.”
Terry’s future at Villa Park is still unclear, but Steve Bruce will surely do all that he can to ensure that the 37-year-old remains with the club for at least one more season.
