Aston Villa’s chances of signing Robert Snodgrass this summer look non-existent.

Henri Lansbury has posted a message on Instagram, suggesting that he misses having Robert Snodgrass at Aston Villa.
Snodgrass spent last season at Villa, on loan from West Ham United, and he made a big impression.
The Scot was one of Villa’s most integral players, as they mounted a push for promotion.
However, it seems unlikely that he will return to Villa this summer, due to the club’s financial struggles.

Steve Bruce had suggested that he would attempt to sign Snodgrass after his loan spell expired last summer, but that was before Villa’s financial problems had become clear.
Villa now do not seem to have the money to bring Snodgrass in either permanently or on loan.
And Lansbury, a £3 million signing from Nottingham Forest back in 2017, certainly seems disappointed that he won’t be linking up with the West Ham man again this season.
Snodgrass’ future at West Ham is still not entirely clear, with Manuel Pellegrini facing a big decision over whether to use him this season or not.
