Frederic Guilbert has already made a big impression in the Premier League – he can’t wait to take on Trent Alexander-Arnold and Jurgen Klopp at Anfield.

Aston Villa ace Frederic Guilbert has admitted that he dreams of playing against European champions Liverpool while labelling Trent Alexander-Arnold as the best right-back in world football right now, speaking to the Villans’ official website.
Just three games into his Villa career, a defender who joined from Caen for £4.4 million is already establishing himself as a cult hero amongst the claret and blue fanbase (Express and Star).
Guilbert loves nothing more than to burst forward and drive into the final third and, while his end product clearly needs some work, the jet-heeled Frenchman has already opened his account with a well-taken goal in the 6-1 Carabao Cup thrashing of Crewe Alexandra.
Given his swashbuckling style, it is no surprise that Guilbert admires not only Jurgen Klopp but Alexander-Arnold too, the 20-year-old Liverpool hero who produced a record-breaking 12 assists in the Premier League last season.

“I’d go for Liverpool,” the 24-year-old said when asked which team he cannot wait to face. “I admire the way they play the game and the way they see the game. I like the style of Jurgen Klopp. They are a very good team.
“For me, the best right-back at this moment is Trent Alexander-Arnold.”
Guilbert also opened up on his admiration for Juventus talisman Cristiano Ronaldo while describing Thierry Henry as the greatest Frenchman ever to grace the top flight of English football.
It goes without saying that this is a right-back with a passion for attacking football. Fortunately, Aston Villa coach Dean Smith is not going to blunt these instincts any time soon.
