The Villa star will be playing for Egypt in Russia this summer.

Aston Villa wideman Ahmed Elmohamady has been discussing his hopes for the World Cup this summer.
The 30-year-old right-sided star has over 70 caps for his nation Egypt, who have qualified for their first World Cup since Italia ‘90 in Russia next year.
Despite success in the African Cup of Nations during that time, featuring in four of the last seven finals and winning three of them, they have not managed to find their way to a World Cup until now.

The Aston Villa man is clearly excited about the competition and revealed his hopes in conversation with FIFA.com this week:
“It’s not an easy group, but it’s not as difficult as it could have been.
“The target is to go through the group stage and then after that, we’ll see which team we can get. Hopefully we can go as far as possible as it would mean a lot to Egyptian fans. Loads of fans will go to Russia, so hopefully we can help them celebrate as much as possible.”
Egypt have been given a rather favourable draw, with hosts Russia, Uruguay and Saudi Arabia in their group at the tournament.
Egypt’s midfielder Ahmed Elmohamady
Aston Villa’s talented wide-man will no doubt be a regular as they attempt to go far in the competition.
With the likes of Mo Salah, Mohamed Elneny and Ahmed Hegazi at their disposal the Pharaoahs should certainly not be underestimated.
