Aston Villa are putting together a strong team ahead of Premier League football returning to Villa Park.

Aston Villa defender Tyrone Mings has spoken highly of new teammate Wesley Moraes, describing him as a “handful” and admitting that he “gives as good as he gets” on the training ground (Sky Sports).
The 22-year-old Brazilian striker officially joined the newly promoted Premier League side in July from Belgian outfit Club Brugge in a deal reported to be £22million (Sky Sports), after being granted a work permit and international clearance to play in England.
Wesley has very much hit the ground running for the Villans, netting a brace in the 5-1 win against Walsall in midweek and forging a good partnership on the pitch with fellow new arrival Jota, who also scored twice.
Although it is still early days and Walsall may not be the toughest of opponents, there is plenty of optimism amongst the claret and blue faithful regarding the team that is being put together by Dean Smith, with Stan Collymore believing Wesley is going to be a force in the Premier League (Twitter).

Mings, who impressed on loan last season and has been signed permanently this summer, told Sky Sports about Wesley: “He’s a handful! He’s a very strong guy, a very big guy, technically he’s very good.
“I think he offers us something different and I think he’ll add a lot to the team. He’s a striker, a number 9, something which you don’t see too much of these days. I may have given him a few ‘Welcome to Aston Villa’ tackles – but he gives as good as he gets!”
