The Villa ace, on loan from Bournemouth, has helped turn the Championship side into a contender for promotion to the Premier League.

Aston Villa defender Tyrone Mings has spoken out on his relationship with the club’s fans, saying he feels they appreciate how he gives his all for the team, before praising them highly.
To say the 26-year-old has become a fan favourite at Villa Park is an understatement, so impressive has been his form and connection with the fanbase in a relatively short amount of time.
Mings joined Dean Smith’s charges on loan from Bournemouth in the January transfer window and has helped transform the Championship club into a bona fide promotion chaser, the Villans having won six on the trot in the league to go up into the playoff picture.
With the defence tightened up and the attacking players doing their thing up top, there is renewed optimism amongst the Villa fanbase of a possible return to the Premier League this summer, and Mings is rightly credited with a huge role in this turnaround.
The 6ft 5in centre-back spoke to the official Villa site for their weekly One on One feature and one of the questions was regarding what he thought of the supporters.

“I am someone who leaves everything out on the pitch,” replied Mings. “That’s what I strive to do in every game and I think the fans appreciate that. Fans want to see players give their all for the team. That’s what I do.
“I feel like I’ve built up a really good rapport with the supporters here. They have been great with me. They’re fantastic at home. They’re terrific away. Thank you to all of them.”
Up next for Villa is Wednesday night’s trip to Rotherham United.
