Unai Emery’s Aston Villa are in advanced talks with Real Betis over signing Alex Moreno, a player Steve Cooper’s Nottingham Forest wanted to bring to the City Ground in the summer of 2022, according to Fabrizio Romano on Twitter.
The well-known and well-respected journalist has claimed that Moreno was close to a switch to Nottingham Forest in the summer of 2022.
Romano has added that it is now Forest’s Premier League rivals Villa who are in talks with Betis over securing the services of the 29-year-old, who can operate as a left-back or as a winger.
