Alan Nixon claims on his Patreon channel that Aston Villa winger Tyreik Wright will join League One leaders Plymouth Argyle on a free transfer after he was recalled from his loan spell at Mark Hughes’ Bradford City, over the weekend.

Republic of Ireland Under-21 international Wright, 20, has been in superb form in League Two with Bradford. His fourth loan spell away from Villa – after spells at Walsall, Salford and Colchester. He played 17 times, before his recall.

He has been recalled by Bradford as he is set to join League One leaders Plymouth. A brilliant move for the impressive winger, who will join a side that look more than likely to go up to the Championship come May. Plymouth sit first.

Indeed, Argyle are five points clear of second-placed Sheffield Wednesday. A side that beat Newcastle in the third round of the FA Cup. Nixon reports Wright will move to Plymouth on a free transfer, but there are clauses included.

Villa have included a clause that will see them earn a slice of any profit, if Wright is sold in the future. So, should he impress at Plymouth, and then earns a big-money move going forward – Villa will be entitled to a certain percentage.

It is a move that suits all parties. Wright finally stops jumping from club to club on loan, and instead, finds himself a permanent home. In that home, he finds a team that could be in the Championship come the end of the season.

Plymouth get a player with huge potential, and touted to earn senior Ireland caps later on in his career. While he has only played at League Two level so far, he has the ability to grow. Villa could be entitled to a big fee moving forward.
