Here is the latest transfer news coming out of Villa Park, including an update on one of their key midfielders as well as reported interested in a Premier League Brazilian.
Douglas Luiz
HITC have reported that Aston Villa are putting contract talks on hold with Brazilian midfielder Douglas Luiz and are not ruling out cashing in on the former Manchester City player.
There are concerns about the club’s Profit & Sustainability levels despite Unai Emery’s side achieving Champions League football under the Spaniard. Luiz is understood to be one of the club’s most ‘sellable’ assets.
Arsenal remain long time admirers of the Brazilian and have not ended their interested in the 26-year-old. Luiz could be the big name out the door at Villa Park this summer.

Matias Soule
In terms of incomings at Villa Park, it is currently unclear what sort of money Emery will have to spend and the Midlands club may have to get creative this summer to bolster their squad.
One player who could join Villa this summer is Juventus youngster Matias Soule, who has been linked with a move to a whole host of top level Premier League sides.
According to a report from Italian outlet Tuttosport, Soule will hold talks with the Italian giants about his future soon but Villa are in the picture for his signature.
The Argentine made 36 Serie A appearances on loan at Frosinone, scoring 11 goals and providing three assists.
Vitao
A new centre-back could well be on the list of targets for the Midlands club this summer and they have been linked with Brazilian Vitao.
Julen Lopetegui’s West Ham United, according to Diario De Sevilla, are considering making an offer for the Internacional defender but it seems Emery’s Villa could enter the race.
Real Betis could also be in the race, according to the report. This certainly seems like a left field signing for the Villains to make.
At just 24 years of age, the Brazilian can also play at right-back which would certainly make more sense for the Midlands side if they are to sign him.
Andreas Pereira
Another interesting addition at Villa Park could be Fulham midfielder Andreas Pereira, who has excelled in West London since leaving Manchester United.
After two years at Fulham under Marco Silva, the time may well be right for the Brazilian to leave the club and he has been linked with a move to Villa Park.
A report from Brazilian outlet GloboEsporte claims that Villa are one of the sides said to be keen on the 26-year-old, as well as Tottenham and Newcastle United.
It is unclear how much Fulham would demand for the midfielder but it would be a bit more than the £10 million spent by the Cottagers to sign the Brazilian back in 2022.
