According to HLN, reported Aston Villa target Bjorn Engels and Reims central defender Bjorn Engels is an Arsenal fan.

It has been reported that Villa – who will play in the Premier League next season after clinching promotion from the Championship via the playoffs – are interested in signing Engels from Reims in the summer transfer window for a fee to be worth €10 million (£8.97m).

The report has claimed of interest in the 24-year-old central defender from Stoke City and Fulham, and has stated that he is a fan of Arsenal.

Good signing for Aston Villa?

Engels is a very good central defender, and at the age of 24, the Belgian can only get better in the coming years.

The former Club Brugge and Olympiacos central defender will be a good signing for Villa, especially for the reported €10m (£8.97m).

According to WhoScored, Engels made 33 appearances in Ligue 1 for Reims during the 2018-19 campaign, scoring one goal and providing five assists in the process.
