The 17-year-old attacker is an England under-17 international who made his debut for the Aston Villa under-21 side aged just 15.
This summer he has been with the first-team for pre-season activities, including travelling out to Portugal for a training camp.
Unfortunately he picked up an injury on tour.
Green suffered an ankle injury toward the end of July and was ruled out for the rest of pre-season with his problem.
Today he has Tweeted about his injury trouble and hopes for the upcoming season.
Green is perhaps still a bit young to be in the Villa first-team on a regular basis, but he would have certainly been hoping to be knocking on the door this term.
The teenager is a top talent for the future, but if he can get himself fit he might get some cup action this term as he looks to prove himself in the Villa first-team.
