Aston Villa ace Tammy Abraham has admitted that ‘maybe one day’ he will play alongside Tottenham Hotspur hitman Harry Kane as he lauded him as ‘one of the best strikers in the world’ right now.

Abraham, who is on loan from Chelsea, has been a big hit at Villa Park this season scoring 21 goals for the Championship promotion chasers [transfermarkt].

The 21-year-old is yet to play for England’s senior side, but if he can find the back of the net on a regular basis in the Premier League then there is no doubt that the call will come from Gareth Southgate.

Speaking to Drive Time on Aston Villa’s official YouTube account (3m), Abraham spoke about Kane being an inspiration and potentially playing alongside him in the near future for the Three Lions.

“It has to be Aguero or Harry Kane [as the best in the Premier League right now],” Abraham told AVTV. “It does [Harry Kane’s journey inspires me]. It just goes to show, keep working hard and keep trying your best even if something doesn’t go your way, just keep going again.

“Look at him now, he’s had so many loans that probably have not gone as well as he would have liked but he’s one of the best strikers in the world now. Maybe one day [I’ll play alongside him].”

Abraham is not the only player who could one day line up alongside Kane for England. Villa playmaker Jack Grealish could find himself sharing the same dressing room with the Spurs man for both club and country.

The Mirror recently claimed that Tottenham are ready to re-ignite their interest in Grealish, who they failed to sign last summer.

At this moment in time, Villa occupy the final play-off spot and If they earn promotion to the Premier League then there is no doubt that they’ll be able to keep their star man.

But another season in the Championship is only going to increase Grealish’s chances of departing B6 this summer because he is simply too good to play in the second tier of English football.
