Aston Villa’s Scott Hogan is hoping to get his career back on track at Stoke City this season.

It seems as though life isn’t getting any better for Aston Villa’s Scott Hogan at Stoke City following his season-long loan move during the summer transfer window.
On Wednesday night, he started Stoke’s humiliating 3-1 defeat to Preston North End, where Jack Butland produced a horror show of a performance by being at fault for the opening two goals scored by Alex Neil’s side.
With things going from bad to worse, Hogan was one of the players substituted for midfielder Peter Etebo just before the hour mark, but that only resulted in Stoke conceding their third goal of the night.
Some Stoke City supporters weren’t pleased that Hogan was the one who was substituted off, whilst there was a mixed reaction about the abilities he has in his locker.
As for the Aston Villa fans, they simply stated that Hogan is perhaps now ‘hating’ life at Stoke because he made similar comments about not enjoying his time at the Midlands outfit.

Well, Hogan, who got off the mark for Stoke during their 2-2 draw against Derby last Saturday, has a chance to get his faltering career back on track.
It is highly likely that he will have a future at Villa Park, regardless of what happens to the club in the near future and regardless of what he does.
Here is a selection of Villa and Stoke City fans reacting to Hogan’s performance:
